A Black content creator is bringing a little Love Island USA energy to the 2026 midterms, turning the hit dating show's format into an interactive guide to Senate candidates.

Chicago-based creator Anweih Cox created Senate Island USA, an interactive website inspired by Peacock’s hit dating series that lets users explore Senate candidates, compare their positions on key issues and access voting resources ahead of Election Day.

The platform aims to make election information more accessible to younger voters.

In a TikTok video shared on October 17, Cox walked viewers through the platform, which allows users to select a “villa” based on the state where they plan to vote.

Once inside, visitors can participate in daily polls, browse profiles of candidates running for Senate, and explore their responses to pressing issues.

The website even has its own “Casa Amor,” which allows users to compare candidates and their positions on different issues. Cox told WAPT the idea came after she noticed the popularity of the Love Island app and the number of people engaging with the show.

“I was seeing reports of millions of people being on the ‘Love Island’ app, and it was crashing the app,” she said. “And I'm like, you hear about the numbers of Gen Z and people voting just in general elections, [and it] just doesn't compare.”

Cox said she wanted to channel that interest into a platform that makes election information easier for younger voters to understand and engage with.

“Just making that into a more digestible is important, and that's all that matters, and I was happy I was able to accomplish that,” she said.

Among the candidates featured on the platform are Mississippi Senate hopefuls, including Republican incumbent Cindy Hyde-Smith and Democratic challenger Scott Colom, who, if elected, could become the first Black senator representing Mississippi since Reconstruction.

With Election Day on Tuesday (November 3), voters can explore the platform at SenateIsland.com.
