Sinners star Wunmi Mosaku revealed she's expecting a bundle of joy on the red carpet at the 2026 Golden Globe Awards.

On Sunday (January 11), Mosaku attended the Golden Globes at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, where the Sinners actress announced that she is pregnant with her second child.

Mosaku debuted her baby bump in a custom yellow Matthew Reisman gown, calling it the "right dress and the right moment." Mosaku told Vogue that the color choice was inspired by the Yoruba phrase “Iya ni Wúrà,” meaning “mother is golden.”

In a personal essay published by the outlet, Mosaku explained why she chose the Golden Globes to share her pregnancy publicly

“Everything in me resists sharing it publicly—not because I’m not grateful or joyful, but because this feels like one of the few things that truly belongs to me,” she wrote. “I’ll be in the public eye for the coming weeks… and I will be doing it with an ever-growing bump.”

Mosaku added that she wanted to get ahead of speculation during awards season.

“I’d love to just show up as me—a woman who happens to be pregnant—celebrating our powerful film and our amazing team,” Mosaku wrote. “So, I've decided to stop trying to camouflage my bump today at the Golden Globes, so me and baby can truly enjoy and embrace the moment fully together.”

The actress also reflected on her pregnancy as a Black woman, citing medical bias and maternal mortality statistics.

“For Black mothers, the path to peace is rarely that simple,” Mosaku wrote. “Holding joy and fear at the same time is not abstract.”

Sinners earned seven Golden Globe nominations, including for Best Motion Picture — Drama.
