Cheapism compiled a list of the "best hole-in-the-wall burger joints" across the U.S., the small but mighty eateries that might not be as "glamorous" as the highly-touted chains and popular establishments but that still pack a major punch with a bite you'll be thinking about for many meals to come.

According to the site, the top spot in all of North Carolina is Al's Burger Shack.
