Snoop Dogg seemingly responded to backlash he received from performing at a Donald Trump inauguration event.

On Sunday (January 26), Snoop took to Instagram to tell his followers he’s “still 100 percent Black” amid the “hate” the rapper is catching from the community.

“It’s Sunday man, I got gospel in my heart right now,” Snoop Dogg said in an Instagram video. “For all that hate, I’m going to answer with love. Y’all can’t hate enough on me. I love too much. Get your life right stop worrying about mine. I’m cool, I’m together. Still a Black man, still 100 percent Black.”

Snoop’s comments come after he performed on January 17 at the Crypto Ball, a celebration of Trump's inauguration hosted by incoming White House "Crypto Czar" David Sacks at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington D.C.

The rapper was seen performing his hits, including "Drop It Like It's Hot," and DJing for a group of cryptocurrency executives dressed in black tie and ball gowns.

Snoop faced widespread backlash for his decision to perform at the Trump event. Social media users also called out Snoop changing his stance after he previously called Black artists who perform at Trump inauguration events “jiggaboos.”

Nelly, Rick Ross, and Soulja Boy also caught heat for performing at inauguration events celebrating Trump’s second term.

In response to the backlash, Nelly defended his decision to perform in an interview with "Willie D Live."

"We tend to sometimes make a quick, I would say, response to something that on the surface may seem it's effed up because we don't agree on something else," Nelly said. "I'm not political. I'm not out here trying to tell anyone who they should vote for. This is not a campaign trail."

"I respect the office. This isn't politics. The politics, for me it's over. He won. He's the president. He's the commander-in-chief of what I would like to say is the best country in the world," he added.
